Terms of Service
Last updated: August 2026 (v1.25.0)
OVERVIEW
This website is operated by SFDevTools. Throughout the site, the terms "we", "us" and "our" refer to SFDevTools. We offer this website, its Salesforce-related tools and services to you, the user, conditioned upon your acceptance of all terms, conditions, policies, and notices stated here.
By visiting our site and using our services, you engage in our "Service" and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not access or use our website. These Terms of Service apply to all users of the site.
SECTION 1 - SERVICE DESCRIPTION
SFDevTools provides tools for Salesforce administrators and developers, including but not limited to:
- Database health monitoring
- Salesforce access level analysis
- Field export capabilities
- Record inspection and editing (staged, confirmed single-record changes)
- Permission management (staged, batch-applied field- and object-permission changes via the Permissions Matrix)
- Debug log management
- Automation management (enabling and disabling validation rules, flows, workflow rules, Apex triggers, and duplicate rules via SwitchBoard)
- Activity auditing (immutable 90-day log of mutating Salesforce operations performed through SFDevTools)
- Streaming data export (CSV/Excel export of query results)
- AI Agent (optional chat assistant for your connected Salesforce org data — read-only by default, with optional approval-gated actions — powered by third-party AI model providers)
- Ask the Guides (optional docs-only AI chat that answers questions from official Salesforce documentation, no org connection required)
- AI Dashboards (optional feature that lets you describe a Salesforce dashboard in plain language; an AI builder agent authors the layout and field bindings, and the dashboard re-queries your org live on every view)
Our core service operates on a real-time streaming basis. By default, your Salesforce records and metadata are processed through your browser and are not permanently stored on our servers. We offer optional features, such as performance caching and cloud-synced execution history, which you may explicitly enable. You maintain full control over whether this data is stored locally on your device or synced to our secure infrastructure.
The AI Agent's data access is read-only by default. It can run anonymous Apex or create, update, or delete individual Salesforce records on your behalf only after you explicitly approve each such action in the chat; you are responsible for reviewing every proposed action before approving it, and all executed actions are recorded in the Activity Ledger. AI-generated responses may be inaccurate or incomplete; you are responsible for independently verifying any information before relying on it. For questions spanning more than one connected org, the agent may delegate to sub-agents scoped to a single org and combine their answers. Use of the AI Agent is subject to your team's shared AI credit balance; workspace owners may purchase additional credits, with payments processed by Stripe. Your prompts and any data the agent retrieves on your behalf are shared with the third-party AI model provider you select (see our Sub-Processors List).
The AI Dashboards feature uses a builder agent to author dashboard layouts and typed field bindings. Dashboard data (layouts, bindings, version history, builder conversation history) is stored in our database scoped to your team. AI-authored dashboard content may be inaccurate or incomplete; you are responsible for verifying any output before relying on it. Use of the dashboard builder consumes AI credits from your team's shared balance, unless your workspace has enabled Bring Your Own Key. Your prompts and any data the builder agent retrieves are shared with the AI model provider under the same terms as the AI Agent.
Workspace owners may optionally supply their own Anthropic and/or Google API key ("Bring Your Own Key") to run AI Agent and AI Dashboards turns on that key instead of your team's shared AI credit balance. You are responsible for the validity, permissions, and any costs billed by the provider against a key you supply; we are not responsible for provider-side charges, rate limits, or key revocation. You may remove or replace a supplied key at any time.
